amplier.Thegainisweakestjustaftertheping,andincreases
inaccordancewithtime(andthereforerange).TheTVGcanbe
selectedwithsixdifferentcurveslopes,eachhavingdifferent
gainregulations.TheAutooptionismarkedwithanasteriskto
indicatethetheoreticallycorrectsettingforthedifferentrange
settings.Withthissetting,thegainisadjustedinsuchwaythata
schoolofshwithacertainsizeanddensitywillbepresented
withapproximatelythesamestrengthonthescreeninany
positioninsidetheregulatedTVGrange.
